Full Stack Backend Developer (Node.js / Python)

We are looking for a Full Stack Backend Developer to join our engineering team. While you will have exposure to the frontend, your primary focus will be on the server-side logic, API design, database architecture, and cloud infrastructure.

You will be responsible for building and maintaining the core business logic that powers our applications. You will work closely with product managers and frontend developers to ship features that are performant, reliable, and scalable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architecture & Development: Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable backend services and RESTful/GraphQL APIs.
• Database Management: Design and optimize database schemas (SQL and NoSQL). Write complex queries and ensure data integrity across distributed systems.
• Full Stack Integration: Connect backend services with frontend elements (React/Vue/Angular) built by our UI team. Ensure seamless data flow and state management.
• Scalability & Performance: Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues. Implement caching strategies (Redis, Memcached) and message queues (RabbitMQ, SQS).
• DevOps & Deployment: Manage CI/CD pipelines and deploy applications to cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure). Monitor application performance and uptime.
• Security: Implement robust authentication (OAuth2, JWT) and authorization mechanisms. Ensure all code adheres to security best practices.
• Code Quality: Write unit tests, integration tests, and participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality standards.

Technical Requirements (Must-Haves):

• Experience: 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Backend Languages: Strong proficiency in Node.js (TypeScript) or Python (Django/Flask) . [Pick one that fits your stack].
• Databases: Deep experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL. Experience with MongoDB or DynamoDB is a plus.
• APIs: Expert in designing RESTful APIs. Experience with GraphQL is a bonus.
• Cloud: Proven experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure), specifically with compute (EC2/EKS), storage (S3), and serverless (Lambda/Functions).
• Containerization: Experience with Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes (K8s).
• Version Control: Proficiency with Git and collaborative workflows (GitFlow/GitHub Flow).
• Frontend Awareness: Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular) to effectively collaborate with frontend teams. (You do not need to be a UI expert, but you must understand how your APIs are consumed).
